Moussa Clarke takes on Tim Lyall's K.I.S.S.I.N.G. on Bloxbox Records, old school DJ Denizen Brandon Block's and Tim's own imprint. Moussa fashions an emotional electronic house music journey, replete with retro Linn drums, powerful basslines, synth licks and soaring violins, weaving around the classic late 80s vocal. There's a violin-less take and a dub too to complete the package.

I remember this one when it was released by Siedah Garrett in 1988 (without the Baby Baby line). Not as big fan of the remake, but will give it a few spins. Full support.

Nice mix but for me the overall vibe here is too melancholy for this song. I could be wrong though. Perhaps the song may not have aged well? It's certainly 'of its time' . I think to bring a song of this reputation to a new audience the original Shep Pettibone mix probably just needs a light dusting off. Hercules & love affair's treatment of 'situation' by Yazoo springs to mind.

Beautiful uplifting summer track, the Alt Dub is my favourite and will fit the best into my typical sets. Will be playing this out today at my residency at Ice Bar Barcelona.
